Bruno Vinci, a brazilian guitarist and composer, stands out for his compositions that range from the traditional to the modern, incorporating various rhythms. In 2015, he released his first solo album titled “Percussivo”, showcasing his influences from Brazilian and Latin American music. In 2023, he released his second solo album, “Balançado”, which blends different rhythms and cultures, receiving critical acclaim and solidifying the guitarist as a talent to be noticed.
He has participated in the recordings of the albums: “Quebra Cabeça” with the group Sacudindo o Choro, “Ernesto Nazareth: erudito e popular” with bandolinist Paulo Novais, “Choro Marginal” (volumes 1 and 2), and numerous recordings of choro and samba. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Lô Borges, Márcio Borges, Toninho Horta, Tavinho Moura, Fernando Brant, Claudio Nucci, and many other prominent figures from the Choro and Samba scenes, genres in which he has specialized. As a teacher, he has led workshops and courses, including the notable “Lezione Concerto” in Rome/ITA at the Saint Louis College of Music with singer Fernanda Brito, and the CIVEBRA 2023, where he taught 7-string guitar. He has lived in São Paulo for over 15 years, frequently performing in theaters, bars, and cultural centers, both as a solo instrumentalist and as an accompanist for singers.
As a researcher, Bruno has published several study booklets and transcriptions for the 7-string guitar. In 2013, he released his first three study booklets focused on phrasing, followed by the “Iniciação ao Violão de Acompanhamento 7 Cordas” (Introduction to 7-String Guitar Accompaniment) in 2014. The following year, he launched the “Toque em Duo” series in collaboration with flutist Ivan Melillo, featuring traditional choro pieces for both soloist and accompaniment study. In 2017, he released the continuation of the “Toque em Duo” series, now with Paulo Novais, featuring works by composer Ernesto Nazareth, alongside his Online Course for 7-String Guitar Students, a virtual platform with ongoing content that remains online to this day.
